     This year is the one of David O. Russell.Indeed, after the success of his movie untitled "Silver Linings Playbook", hisnext film "American Bluff" follows the same way.

     In fact, at first, he directed some short films and he was already interested by the problems in American families of the middle class. In 1994, he directed a comedy called "Spanking The Monkey" with Jeremy Davies and he was noteworthy by the professionals and the critic. Besides, he won several rewards. Today, he is become a safe bet at the box office.

      Afterward, he took charge of a huge production for the first time, the film "Three King" which gave to him the opportunity to work with great names like George Clooney or Mark Wahlberg. This ultimate is one of the favourite actors of the director. They will work together in "I Heart Huckabees" or in "Fighter". "Fighter", the dramatic biopic, where we can also see Christian Bale or Amy Adams, was a real recognition for David O. Russell with seven nominations for the Oscars and he won two.

     To come back to "Silver Linings Playbook", he meticulously chose his actors and his choice stopped on Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. This film had sixteen nominations and it won twelve. The young Jennifer Lawrence won the reward of the best actress in a leading role at the Oscars.

     Seeing, the success of "Fighter" and "Silver Linings Playbook", he decided to gather the two castings to direct "American Bluff". Finally, it was a good idea because it was one more time nominated in several categories for the Oscars, whose Christian Bale as best actor in a leading role, Amy Adams as best actress in a leading role, Jennifer Lawrence as best actress in a supporting role and others. However, the most important is his nomination as best director.
